Tea-Time Stillness: Finding Strength in Quietness and Trust

Quiet and Trust

What a relief it is to remember that God does not ask us to carry our burdens alone.

Welcome,

It’s tea time in God’s Word. Let’s pause together, be still, and allow God’s truth to do its quiet, faithful work in us.

“In returning and rest, you shall be saved;

In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.”

~~Isaiah 30:15

I love this verse and the invitation it holds.

When life begins to feel chaotic, cluttered, and rushed, these words call me back. Back to the Lord Jesus. Back to stillness. Back to a place where I can simply breathe and remember that I am not meant to carry everything on my own.

So often, we press forward as if everything depends on us. We try to manage, fix, and control every detail of our lives. But deep down, we know that isn’t possible. Even so, pride quietly persuades us to keep trying.

This verse gently redirects us. Strength is not found in striving, but in returning. Not in noise, but in quietness. Not in control, but in trust.

What a relief it is to remember that God does not ask us to carry our burdens alone. He invites us to release them:

“Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

He cares—deeply, personally, faithfully. Every worry, every unknown, every concern for ourselves and for those we love can be placed into His hands.

And where does our strength come from? It grows in His presence. In unhurried moments in His Word. In stillness before Him. In choosing, again and again, to trust.

Jesus reminds us:
“Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” — John 16:24

A gentle reminder for today:
You are loved—fully and unconditionally—by the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. You can trust His heart. You can rest in His promises. Let His love surround you, and abide in Him… so that your joy may be full.

Prayer
Loving Father, help me to return to You. Teach me to rest in Your presence and to trust You with every burden, fear, and concern. You are on the throne, and I know I can trust You completely.
Amen.

Steeped in God’s love, 💕
