“That I may know Him…”
~Philippians 3:10
I was born in British Columbia, Canada, and raised in a home where God’s Word, church, family, and hospitality were treasured. At five years old, I knelt by my bed and trusted Jesus as my Savior. That simple prayer shaped everything that followed.
At sixteen, I met the Christian man I would marry while attending a Bible camp in Southern California. After two years of letters and long-distance calls, we were married and began our life together. The Lord blessed us with four children in our first ten years, and it was our joy to raise them in the nurture of the Lord and to see each one trust Jesus Christ at a young age.
Years later, God called my husband and me into full-time ministry, and we served for eight years as missionaries in Jamaica with our young children. Those years were not without challenge, but they were marked by His faithful provision, sustaining strength, and unmistakable presence.
Today, after more than 45 years of marriage, my husband and I continue serving the Lord—traveling, sharing His Word, and spending time with believers for mutual encouragement. I treasure quiet mornings in Scripture and prayer, and I enjoy writing devotionals shaped by both joy and sorrow.
The Lord has used life’s deeper valleys in our family—including divorce, estrangement, cancer, and the stretching work of ministry—to draw me closer to Himself and gently shape me into His image. There is great comfort in knowing He is still working in me. His promised return remains my constant hope.
I enjoy long walks in nature, weightlifting, and quiet moments with a warm cup of tea—watching the birds gather at the feeders on our back porch and simply savoring His many blessings.
These quiet moments have become my “tea time” with the Lord—a place to be still… and to know Him. ☕
