Why Tea Time?

Welcome

“Tea time,” my dad would announce, and we would gather with a warm cup in hand. We settled into familiar chairs and shared the stories of our day. In those simple moments, I felt comfort, belonging, and joy—simply from being together.

Years later, during a quiet morning with the Lord Jesus, that memory returned. As I sat with my Bible—reading, reflecting, praying, and sipping tea—the same peace settled around me. The stillness, the warmth, the sense of being welcomed and known all felt like those family tea times long ago.

Tea invites us to slow down.
It asks us to wait.

Water must heat. Leaves must steep. If rushed, tea remains weak—but when given time, it becomes rich and full. Faith often grows the same way.

Tea has become a steady rhythm in my mornings. As the cup warms my hands, I open my Bible and let God’s Word settle into my heart. Like tea steeping in water, His love deepens in us when we remain with Him.

Scripture reminds us:
“It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” —Lamentations 3:26

Tea is simple and unpretentious. It meets us where we are. Faith is like that too. God meets us in ordinary moments—in quiet mornings and weary evenings.

That is the heart behind this blog.

Here, I share my morning “tea times”—reflections from Scripture and the gentle work God is doing in my heart. My prayer is that this space offers encouragement and hope as you grow in your relationship with the Lord Jesus.

So, tea here is not really about the drink itself.
It is about slowing down, staying present, and abiding in Him.

You are welcome here.
