The Beauty of Worship: Seeing Jesus High and Lifted Up

“I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up…”
— Isaiah 6:1

"Worthy is the Lamb who was slain

To receive power and riches and wisdom,

And strength and honor and glory and blessing!" Revelation 5:12

Welcome,

Take a moment to be still before the Lord. His Word is sure, His voice steady—worthy of our full attention and quiet surrender.

What is worship? Simply put, it is “worth-ship”—appreciating God and the Lord Jesus, giving honor that is due His name.

Is Jesus Christ worthy? Absolutely.
Worthy for who He is—and for what He has done.

Jesus Christ is one with God, the one true God. He is Lord of lords and King of kings. He is holy—high and lifted up, seated in glory.

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”
— Psalm 150:6

Who May Worship?

Anyone who trusts in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord—who has confessed their sin and come to Him—may worship.

The Holy Spirit, who dwells within every believer, leads us to worship in truth.

“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
— John 4:24

As we read God’s Word and meditate on it, we come to know Him more. And as we know Him more, our hearts are drawn to Him—and worship begins to flow.

With eyes of faith, we see Jesus high and lifted up, seated on His throne. This lifts our perspective above the noise of this world. From the heart, we bow before Him and offer continual praise—the fruit of lips that acknowledge His name.

We lay before Him all that we are and all that we have, knowing it has all come from Him.

Worship is both quiet and expressed—through prayer, thanksgiving, songs, and praise.

Worship is not a small part of the Christian life—it is essential. It keeps our hearts near to Him and our eyes fixed on His worth.

Oh, the beauty of a true worshipper of Jesus Christ—a heart full of love, appreciating Him for who He is.

The beauty of worship… is that it rightly places God at the center.
It lifts our eyes to see Jesus as He truly is—high and lifted up—and gently turns our hearts away from ourselves and toward His glory.

In worship, we are placed where we belong: before Him, in awe, in love, and in truth.

A Quiet Prayer

Loving Father,
Your precious Son is worthy. May our hearts continually worship Him, in spirit and in truth.
Amen

Steeped in God’s love, 🌸

Evelyn
